The Hut is of Lakeland stone construction and is part of a row of what were miners bunkhouses, situated overlooking the Coppermines Valley. The Hut is divided into two sections, one being for YMC Member's use, the other being available for booking by other groups.
Location
The YMC cottages are situated in the Coppermines valley above the village of Coniston in the English Lake District. The cottages are close to the Coppermines Youth Hostel and the Barrow Mountaineering Club Hut.
Suitability
The Hut can accommodate parties of up to 20 people and is suitable for use by other climbing and walking clubs, Scout and Guide Groups for outdoor activities, school parties on outdoor pursuit courses and field trips (although there are no teaching resources available). Its proximity to the former mine working are of interest to cavers and mine research groups etc.

Booking Details
You may book the entire building or a minimun of 6 places. Fees are charged per night, so your visit could be for a single day, a weekend or a week.
