RSS News Feed
What is a RSS News Feed?
A RSS (Really Simple Syndication) News Feed is a quick and simple way of getting news headlines from a number of websites all in one go. The software which does this is called a News Aggregator. There are thousands of websites providing RSS feeds, amongst them are the BBC, Reuters, the Telegraph, Microsoft and Yahoo News. Sites which provide a news feed display the small orange image:

Will I end up with loads of unwanted news?
No. You subscribe only to the news feeds you want. If you change your mind it's easy to un-subscribe again. It's not like e-mail, you view the news headlines using a news aggregator - which collects and displays a list of news items when you ask it to.
