Hi all, I have a 2010 model Arcteryx R280 Women's climbing harness for sale. It's size small (26.5 to 29.5 waist). Selling for £75 or best offer. It's only been used a handful of times (it's the wrong size for me), has never been used on lead, only top roping, and has always been store clean, dry and dark. Please email if interested.

Hello, I am a student at Bradford University looking for people to climb with outdoors this summer to try and get as much experience as i can. I am new to outdoor climbing having done only 3 days on grit but I am very eager to learn more! I own a harness, Belay and shoes so i would need to borrow ropes and gear etc, but i am planning on getting a full set of gear eventually. Being a student i am stuck with public transport unfortunately. Please feel free to contact me on 07544398605 or email me at Jack.Hunter@hotmail.co.uk Thanks

Many thanks to Martin for organising the joint YMC and FRRCC Burns Supper meet. Another superb weekend. Fantastic haggis and Sweet potato soup. Many thanks to Derek and everyone who helped with the meal. More cherry pie next year please. And like last year sun, snow and big day out in the hills.

Hello, I am trying to contact Mike (Mick)Moran who lives in Baildon and I believe was/is a member of the club. We used to work for the same company and I have moved up to Baildon and want to get back into climbing and hence the need to contact Mike. I did speak to him just before Christmas when he confirmed that he lived here and I naturally thought that he would be in the phone book! Can anyone help or pass on a message asking Mike to contact me? Many thanks, Derrick Purnell

To All Members of Yorkshire Mountaineering Club, Just a quick message to let you know that a new climbing and bouldering centre will be opening early in the new year at Crossflatts near Bingley called 'The Barn'. We are currently in process of construction, the website will be going live within the next couple of weeks, but for now there is a facebook page illustrating our progress: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Climbing- Barn/169377079826500?sk=wall&filter=1 The Barn's facilities will be perfect for experienced climbers and those who are just starting out. There will be a large cafe and chill out area ideal for those relaxed and sociable sessions. Will look forward to seeing you guys down there. Many thanks 'The Barn'

Hello Yorkshire Mountaineering club. CAN ANYONE HELP?? I am Christy Rice, a member of the Irish Mountaineering club, and am trying to make contact with FRED MILLENS, an old Yorkshire Mountaineering club member. In Ireland Fred was known as Dug or Duggie and came to Dublin sometime in the 60's, he climbed with the I.M.C and was part of two expeditions to Greenland in 1968 and 1971. He was a Woolgrader by trade. Fred left Dublin in 72/73 and returned to Bradford I believe. I often heard Fred talk of his friends back home but can only remember the name John Sheerin if this is any help. I would seriously appreciate any help with this and would like to send my best wishes to everyone in Yorkshire Mountaineering club for the Winter climbing season. Thanks, Christy.
